Step 1:
Power up Island. Wait about 30 seconds for the light to turn from white to blue.
Step 2:
Plug Island into the switch. Within seconds, Island’s Smart Swap feature learns the existing network addresses.
Step 3:
Place the mesh in AP mode, reboot the mesh (this may happen automatically), and while the mesh is rebooting, unplug the modem cable from the switch and move it to any port on Island.
Reboot the modem giving it time to come back up.
Step 4:
Make sure you are connected to the newly installed Wi-Fi and launch the app if you haven’t already. The app will discover Island and continue with set up. Upon completing set up, the Island app lets you easily reinstate any previous DHCP reservations or port forwards.
